April 30, 2017 (Julian 120) Saturn Square Chiron

April 30, 2017 (Julian 120) Saturn Square Chiron

The big news today is that Saturn (Sagittarius) squares Chiron (Pisces).  The major pain that results for many people from this aspect may have been felt yesterday.  The fastest moving planet in this combination is Saturn with a 29.5 year orbit; Chiron has a somewhat irregular 50 year orbit.

That means that a year for Saturn is like a day for the Moon.  We usually think of lunar aspects lasting about +/- two hours, about 1/6 of a day.  For Saturn, this would be equivalent to +/- a month.  Combined with what some have called the “Retrograde Spring” of 2017, “things” can be tough for late mutables (for example, people with Sun in Gemini / Virgo / Sagittarius / Pisces in the last week of the sign).

Also suffering significantly (or, if you do not like that language, “experiencing a transformation”) are those who are having a Saturn return (typically 28 to 30 years of age, 57 to 59 years of age, or near 90 years of age) and those having a Chiron return (about 49 to 51 years of age or about 100 years of age) or demi-return (25 or 75 years of age).  The people who are having the Chiron return (or demi) are likely hit the hardest of all, especially if they have any late mutable planets.

I would like to say “the worst is over now,” but I cannot.  Tuesday looks especially bad, worse than yesterday or today.  Tuesday the Sun (Taurus) forms (1) a sesquiquadrate with Saturn about 6:30 AM CDT and (2) a semisquare with Chiron about 10 AM CDT.

But, (Monday and) Tuesday get worse: Tuesday evening (between 8 PM CDT and 9 PM CDT) the Moon (void in Leo) forms a sesquiquadrate with both Saturn (Sagittarius) and Chiron (Pisces).  Long time readers of my work know what this is: a “Thor’s Hammer” (or “Fist of God”), the pattern associated with Adam Lanza (who killed so many at Sandy Hook Elementary).  I think that Monday and Tuesday are extremely dangerous days.  Please do note that Mercury stations direct on Wednesday, exacerbating any “situations” that might arise.  (You might want to stay awake from people, places, and things that are “not entirely stable.”)

Back to Sunday (April 30th): Lunar aspects are “unremarkable,” consisting of a sextile, trine, and a square (to Jupiter).  These Jupiter squares are notorious for overeating, overspending, or over-indulging in some other way.  Practice moderation, if you can, this Sunday.

Outers have the aforementioned Saturn / Chiron square and two more: (1) Jupiter (Libra) sesquiquadrate Ceres (Gemini) bringing about intense conversations about food or “prosperity” or both; (2) Pluto (Capricorn) quadrinovile Ceres.  This latter is trickier to interpret, but it is likely to be a bit unpleasant (Pluto in Capricorn) but bring insights regarding issues of food or prosperity or both.

No question about it, these next few days leave me VERY nervous!

On the outside chance something happens to ME, let me say this: it has been an HONOR to have the opportunity to write a few forecasts for you.  (But, let us hope that my fears are unwarranted.)

  1. I feel the same way. I have stared some nasties in the face the past few days…I don’t think its over by any means. Some of these entities, they reside within the people I have encounters with, these Pluto types especially, when they meet up with a Pisces moon or malefic…this shit is scary. I awoke suddenly in tears, wishing for death to ease whatever this is. I know there’s a light on in this room somewhere…where’s the flicker of that distant candle…I’m verbalizing what this feels like. #thelittlesoulthatcould

  2. I’m a late cancer sun, late Leo north node and Uranus…bring it on. I mean, NO, go away! Really, stop! Dodged another bullet! Wtf!!! Is astrology dangerous? Is forewarned really that helpful? #thelittlesoulthatdid

    1. Sadly, I too have had many circumstances where I could see what was coming, but, a bit like watching a Tsunami coming in, I could not avoid or stop it. Sometimes, though, I have been able to dodge a bullet, as you also mention. Hang in there!
