2020-04-30 : Sun septile North Node (Rahu); Venus biquintile Pluto; Vesta septile Eris; Destiny has arrived for millions.

Summary

Days like this are difficult to write for.  That is not because the astrology does not speak.  It does speak.  Unfortunately, it tells us what we already know.  This will be an exercise, therefore, in what some call “confirmation bias.”  But, we can only read what we are given.

Unlike a diplomat or seasoned “sales executive,” we present the bad news first.  The bad news is this: Vesta forms a septile with Astraea.  We interpret that combination thus: traditions (Vesta) enter into a “karmic” relationship (that can produce insights from “lessons learned”) with Eris, the goddess of Discord (and retribution)Tara Greene interprets Vesta to be related to “inVESTments.”  (“VENUS turns RETROGRADE conjunct VESTA the asteroid GODDESS of in VESTments, You can’t make this shit up, “)  JBuss describes the Septile as an aspect of “timing”:  “The Seventh Harmonic is about Stillness in Readiness for Action, very Aikido-like.  I simplify interpretation of the Septile as Timing.

An alternative interpretation to mine, and NOT inconsistent with mine (i.e. both things could be true), is that Investments are meeting Discord in a manner related to timing.  Could this be the day that sets the stage for what comes next when certain businesses open for customers again, restaurants and cinemas and such.  The best that we can hope for is that most of the businesses are saved and we do NOT have a second wave.  But almost everyone observing, adults (and maybe teenagers) of sound mind & body, knows that SOMEthing will come out of this.  We just do not know what.

And given this “Vesta septile Eris” aspect perfecting today, it does not sound “encouraging.”

That’s the bad news, and nobody needs astrology to draw this conclusion.

One more time, the BEST that we can hope for is some sense of “normal.”

(But the “mid-term grades” may not be so good.)

Now for the rest of the story:

  • Sun septile North Node: another confirmation of this idea of “fate” being in play here; many of us will desperately try to control what cannot be controlled.
  • Mercury biseptile Mars: the potential for violence continues though violent words are more likely than violent acts; as you watch events unfold, ask yourself this: how could this have been handled differently (actually, I think that the conduct of most people has been exemplary)
  • Venus quincunx Neptune : the person I consider to have been my primary teacher in astrology (several of those, but I spent more time with one than all others combined) HATED the quincunx.  I recall him saying “it is worse than the squares.”  It is the aspect of false hopes and miscommunicationsThough Neptune is considered a “higher octave of Venus,” in this case they simply have nothing in common whatsoever.
  • Venus biquintile Pluto: Financial markets, and their performance, will be a central issue at this time; an important insight can be had from today.
  • Ceres trine North Node: supply chains appear to start moving again.

“Oddly, today is a “feel good” kind of day (Moon in Leo squares Sun in Taurus) where we feel a sense of relief that “things” are starting to move again.  But, at the same time, we are all quite apprehensive about the risks & dangers that face us.  If you are “at risk” at all, I exhort you to stay home and stay safe and practice the best practices you can with regard to protecting yourself (and your family) from this virus.

As we said in the beginning: no astrology needed to produce these predictions.

But, sometimes, that is what we are given from astrology: the obvious.

2020-04-28 : Expect disruptions to legal systems & supply chains; take care of detailed paperwork such as filing taxes

Expect disruptions to legal systems & Supply chains; take care of detailed paperwork such as filing taxes

Summary

  • Legal upsets continue as Uranus squares Astraea (felt as far back as last week) at 1:52 PM (1352 CDT); Helio Venus squares Jupiter, a confirmation of this turmoil in legal areas and legal systems (courts) but (Tropical, Geocentric) Moon quadrinoviles Jupiter at 1:22 AM (0122 CDT) to provide some “Aha!” moments on how to solve these problems *IF* people pay attention to these fleeting ideas; a key point: the insight comes first, telling us to “get ahead of the problem”; plan (and act) accordingly
  • Vesta sesquiquadrate Pallas brings a sense of urgency to put new ideas (Pallas) into practice regarding old traditions (and Tara Greene says that Vesta governs investments as well, obviously along with Venus)
  • Astraea (law and legal) perfects a biseptile to Eris (discord & chaos) at 2:45 PM (1445 CDT) bringing important lessons (karmic lessons) on how to handle similar sources of chaos in legal areas in the future
  • Mars semisextile Neptune at 3:48 PM (1548 CDT); watch out for those all to slick “traveling salesmen” types; if it sounds too good to be true, it is
  • Mercury square Saturn at 12:27 PM (1227 CDT) gives many of us the focus to take care of certain detailed matters.  For many people, this is a GREAT time to do your taxes or take care of detailed accounting issues; Mercury squares Pallas at 1:53 AM (0153 CDT) and that gives us the ideas and insights that we do need to take care of these matters (and maybe some smart ideas regarding how to make this happen); as an aside: DO NOT wait until the next Mercury retrograde to get on top of this; you will feel the pain if you do
  • Helio: Mars trines Uranus at 4:30 AM (0430 CDT) giving some people the insights and ability to take action to solve certain problems (probably involving finance or supply chains)
  • Mercury semisextile Ceres at 6:54 AM (0654 CDT) brings relief to certain supply chain issues

2020-04-04 SAT: Jupiter conjunct Pluto; Venus trine Saturn; Mercury semisquare Uranus

2020-04-04 SAT: Jupiter conjunct Pluto; Venus trine Saturn

These aspects have been discussed extensively elsewhere.  We will not provide an analysis at this time, but may reference this date and these aspects in future posts.  In this post, we specifically offer the DayPages: Marsout, Sunout, and Moonout, in that order.

Moonout Aspects for next week:

2020-04-03 FRI: Get things done in the morning then take the rest of the day off

2020-04-03 FRI: Get things done in the morning then take the rest of the day off

Summary

Friday morning is a window of opportunity to bring smart ideas to fruition or at least launch them with a plan to complete this phase by April 7th (Full Moon).  This morning is a “get ‘er done” kind of morning.  Afternoon should be “time off” and routine matters.  The evening is good for poetry or music or a movie but nothing serious.

Avoid signing contracts or making long term commitments today.

Marsout Daypage

We have no Marsout aspects perfecting on April 3, 2020. However, do note that the Moon is v/c starting at 1427 CDT (2:27 PM Central Time) and enters Virgo the next day (April 4th) at 1618 CDT (4:18 PM Central Time), staying in the “too early to tell” period until at least midnight or later of Saturday.  Again, complete critical tasks by noon on Friday and use the rest for “play time” or creative work (keeping in mind that re-dos or adjustments may be necessary later).

Worthy of Note: Jupiter conjunct Pluto perfects tomorrow evening, bringing great potential for both great benefit and great harm. Which will we choose?

Jupiter conjunct Pluto is a “large” aspect that is “felt” for at least a week before it perfects.

Mars also quincunxes the North Node early in the morning of April 4th, before midnight of the 3rd in time zones east of the UK, and it brings significant problems regarding our goals and the approach we have followed in attempting to achieve them. This is a “reckoning,” not a “final” reckoning, but the kind that tells you a “tune up” is due. Friday is a superb day to perform such as tuneup, but avoid anger or violence (unless that is your job, maybe an MMA fighter or similar).

Sunout Daypage

Sunout is simple and the kind of aspects most astrologers typically use in their analysis. Venus is void earlier in the morning (could be some banking system glitches or other financial related glitches) until it enters Gemini at 1210 CDT (12:10 PM Central Time) where it will be “too early to tell for three days.” A shakeout make occur in the equities market (more?).

Mercury joins Neptune at 2014 CDT (8:14 PM Central Time) producing a terrible day for signing contracts or attempting clarity of any kind. In all fairness, this can be an excellent “feel good” aspect as long as the pitfalls of the two planets are avoided, especially Neptune (disease and illness, excessive use of alcohol or other drugs, and delusional ideas, particularly with regard to religion). Some people will have a superb date night on this evening.

Sun is quadrinovile Jupiter at 2059 CDT and later Pluto at 2340 CDT. Today might be a poor day for signing contracts but it is an excellent day for planning and negotiations intended to produce an end result, a project of some kind. The Jupiter / Pluto conjunction of April 4th tells us to plan accordingly. Wins will be big but so will be the amplification of mis-steps. Again, plan accordingly.

Moonout Daypage

Lunar aspects are numerous today. The most important is Moon (Leo) trine Sun (Aries). If you have a Sagittarius planet or object then this creates a grand trine for you personally and possibly a kite, a sign of great opportunity. The kite requires an additional object in an air sign: Libra, Aquarius, or Gemini. Moon trine Sun perfects at 1428 CDT (2:28 PM, Central Time).

We see four (4) lunar aspects in the Quintile family, so this is a day with great potential for creative solutions. Moon / South Node (Dragon’s Tail) perfects at 0535 CDT, along with the requisite mirror image aspect, Moon decile North Node (Dragon’s Head). Moon quintile Venus perfects at 1005 CDT. Moon / Mercury binquintile perfects at 1144 CDT (note the numbers!), Moon biquintile Neptune perfects at 1232 CDT. This mix makes the morning a powerful window for “getting things done” for most people, especially fire (Aries, Leo, Sadge) and air (Libra, Aquarius, Gemini) signs.

Moon biseptile Uranus at 2042 CDT (8:42 PM, Central Time) also brings insights, but these have a Karmic quality. A smart thing to do is to do something selfless, maybe a small gift of some kind to a Uranian (person considered “unusual” or “gifted” but different or “mentally ill”). Doing something for someone who is “neurodiverse” is a good idea this evening.

Summary

We have some relief today, and the morning is especially good for taking care of financial and household matters. At 1147 CDT the Moon moves void of course, and all bets are off until some time past 1326 CDT (when the Moon moves into Leo). Some attempts this afternoon might have to be subject to being redone as the Moon is in the “too early to tell” window. But Moon / Sun form a tridecile at 1613 CDT (4:13 PM), and you might have an “Aha!” moment to solve some nagging problem. Overall, for most people, it is a good day and a welcome relief.

Marsout

The Outers (generational planets and objects) are less than straightforward today. Mars is triundecile Selena. A best guess is that this Mars / Selena aspect gives us a boost in terms of pursuit of matters related to our highest calling.
Uranus is quintile Ceres. Uranus can be disruptions or insights; Ceres is “food” and “prosperity,” arguably “supply chains” in this modern world. My guess is that we will see more supply chain disruptions BUT they could open the door to brilliant insights into how to manage supply chains better.
Mars is tridecile Juno, and other than issues of possible violence related to possible betrayal an interpretation is difficult to produce. Mars is also biundecile Black Moon Lillith, not easy to read other than not favorable for most. For new romances, however, this could be a romantic night and (dare we say it) great sex.
Moon is void from 1145 CDT until 1326 CDT; avoid acting on important matters during that window.

Sunout

Sunout (mostly traditional planets, starting with Sun, Mercury, and Venus) yields a sole binovile between the Sun and the North Node (aka “Rahu,” or the “Dragon’s Head”). We interpret this to mean that some people will have a brilliant insight regarding their destiny, their calling or “Karma” that they must work through to grow.

Moonout

Moonout is almost always busy, given that we include higher order aspects. Here, we see Moon oppose Jupiter and Pluto in early morning hours, almost certainly done by the time most readers read this. The same is true regarding a quadrinovile to the South node not quite two hours past midnight.
The tridecile aspect to the Sun is a routine recurring monthly aspect. However, the decile family is related to the quintile family (deciles are multiples of 36 degrees (360 / 10) and quintiles multiples of 72 (360 / 5)). Similar to the novile in some ways, the Sun / Moon tridecile at 1613 CDT (4:13 PM) can give us an insight or “Aha!” moment. This is not a major one but a routine recurrence, this time embedded in this particular day and family of aspects. Pay attention; you might obtain a solution to some nagging problem.

2020-04-01 WED Selena opposite Eris + Chiron Septile Sedna

First , the good news: the alignment of the planets tells us that the Ascension so many people have been waiting for is here, and we will have no more troubles of any kind, evermore.

Yep, it is:

April 1st, 2020

Wednesday is another day with challenges. I know some of you are wondering if we ever have days that have no challenges. Technically, the answer is no. We all have challenges.

But Thursday morning and Friday morning both look good for times to seize opportunities.

Wednesday is, how shall we say it, “different.”

Summary

Wednesday is a day in which we have a choice: focus on our highest calling and integrating diverse resources into something new or opt for discord and disruption. Which will you choose?

Sun quintile Saturn and Mercury (in Pisces, a poor position for Mercury) quintiles Venus (in her home, Taurus (strong!)). We have the ideas! We know what to do, and we can create smarter and better solutions.

Mercury semisquare both Mars and Saturn tells us we need to do it, we need to followup.

Daypages

Marsout Daypage

We see two aspects in the Marsout daypage for April 1st, 2020: (1) White Moon Selena opposes Eris and (2) Chiron septiles Sedna. None of this is ordinary or straight forward in the way the a full moon or new moon can be clear and easy to interpret.

2020-04-01 Marsout Daypage

Selena opposite Eris

Selena has been described as part of the “Lilith corridor” along with Algol: “The fixed star Algol in the head of Medusa in the constellation Perseus is also thought of as part of this vast ‘Lilith corridor.’” Selena is not a “planet” or other object but, instead, is a calculated point. Most astrologers do NOT use Selena but a school of Russian astrology, the “Avestan school,” does use it.

Selena has been described by some thus: “White Moon or the Light Moon encompasses the (obscured) noble and pure nature within us.

https://astro-kitty.com/black-moon-lilith-white-moon-arta/

Today, White Moon Selena opposes Eris. Eris has been described as “Eris is the Greek goddess of strife and discord.

We have a fundamental battle of good and evil here today. Selena seeks to integrate, to harmonize, and opposite her is Eris, a purveyor of discord and strife. Florence Nightingale (as the archetype of nursing) is taking on one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Plan accordingly.

Also active today, Chiron perfects a septile to Sedna. Chiron is the noble, peaceful Centaur who became the “wounded healer,” a teacher and healer who could heal all except himself.

As the sea goddess, Sedna has dominion over her creatures and controls the availability of seal, walrus, fish, whale, and other sea animals to Inuit hunters.

Does the wounded healer need to reach out to the sea goddess Sedna for help? How is his karma; has he learned his lessons. Will a cure for Covid19 come from the sea, possibly discovered by Japanese researchers?

Sunout Daypage

Sun quintile Saturn and Mercury (in Pisces, a poor position for Mercury) quintiles Venus (in her home, Taurus (strong!)). We have the ideas! We know what to do, and we can create smarter and better solutions. Mercury semisquare both Mars and Saturn tells us we need to do it, we need to followup.

Mercury septiles Jupiter and Pluto: we may need to reach out to others with a plan that comes from an “Aha!” moment to get done what needs to be done.

2020-04-01 Sunout Daypage

Moonout

Moon perfects quadrinoviles to Mars and Saturn in the afternoon (North America) or evening (UK / EU). We can have BRILLIANT solutions, but they will a bit different, and we can fail to realize their importance. Again, the aforementioned semisquares are in play, so harness that energy for accomplishment.

2020-04-01 Moonout Daypage

2020-03-31 (March 31, 2020):  Mars Conjunct Saturn (and more)

2020-03-31 (March 31, 2020):
Mars Conjunct Saturn (and more)

Summary

The dominant aspect today is Mars conjunct Saturn at 0 Aquarius.  Others have written about this and the likelihood that this could be a particularly difficult day.

We explore a Venus septile Chiron aspect that further confirms this as a difficult day.  The Venus / Chiron aspect, as well as four lunar septiles, tell us that this day could be dangerous, a “Karmic” day that could lead to a tragedy if, collectively, “we” have failed to learn an important lesson.

A lone novile shortly past 9 AM (Central Time) could give us an insight that solves the difficulty.

Details

Marsout

Many others have written about Mars / Saturn perfecting the 0 Aquarius conjunction today.  We cannot add much to the analyses that have been done, some of which are excellent.  Therefore, we focus on the Venus / Chiron septile in the daypage (above) with the chart for the perfection of that aspect to be next:

Septiles are a higher order aspect, and like the other higher order aspects (quintile / biquintiles, novile family, and others) they can bring brilliant insights.  Where the septiles differ is septiiles almost always involve some kind of KARMADid we learn the lesson?

In the past, about a week before the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Florida (2016), we noted a Septile perfecting (on the day of the shooting) and produced the analysis that “Today has Mars Septile Pluto, the aspect of karma for both warrior planets. A very smart thing to do with this is to do something for a disabled veteran you know (or for disabled veterans in general).”  (See, also: 2016-06 W24: Forecasts for Week 24 of 2016.)  The shooter was a security guard who had fallen on difficult times, a Scorpio with a Scorpio-Taurus in his natal chart, and an individual who might not have killed had someone been able to “reach” him.

In that case, we had NOT learned the lesson.

This day, March 31, 2020, has that same kind of feeling.  Here, we have Venus septile Chiron rather than Mars septile Pluto.  AND, we would expect the septiile today to be more benevolent.

BUT, (1) Venus is conjunct Algol (we have written extensively about Algol, notably 2010 Spring Equinox and relationship to the Deepwater Horizon disaster in late April), beginning on Hitler’s birthday (April 20th), (2) Chiron (the “wounded healer”) continues to be square to the Nodes (as was true six days  ago at the time of the annual Sun / Chiron conjunction), and (3) Chiron is square the Moon (nearly conjunct the North Node of Karma / Destiny).

Reaching beyond the obvious difficulty we might expect of the Mars / Saturn conjunction at 0 Aquarius (and, as others have written, that is such a long term aspect that it should be viewed as an important driver of this “Covid19 Pandemic” we are currently experiencing), we see that the Venus / Chiron septile (and relatiionship to Algol and square Moon & nodes) tells us to expect this particular day to likely be one of difficulty.

Moonout Daypage

We will keep this analysis short:

  • Four (4) septile family aspects occur with the Moon today (IN ADDITION to Venus / Chiron): (1) Moon biseptile Sun; (2) Moon triseptile Jupiter; (3) Moon septile Uranus; and (4) Moon biseptile Uranus  This is another set of amplifiers of the Karmic nature of this day!
  • Moon perfects quincunx (inconjunct) aspects to both Mars & Saturn, telling us of misunderstandings that lead to heartache
  • A lone binovile (Sun / Moon at 0913 CDT) tells us of an insight that MIGHT prevent a tragedy of some kind.  Pay attention to your thoughts near this time.

Marsout Daypage

  • We note that Pluto joins Pallas (at 2157 CDT); this also confirms the tendency for this to be a warlike or violent day.  However, this energy CAN be channeled into insights and breakthroughs if anger and disputes are avoided or quickly and safely resolved.

One Last Comment: You should treat today’s “warning” as being in effect for most of the rest of the week.  Now is NOT the time to take risks!

2020-03-30 (March 30, 2020): Brilliant Ideas, but Warning Flags (Go Slow!)

As some of you know, I am restarting my astrology blogs.  Part of the process is reviewing what does, or does not work.  For now, I will play with daily forecasting (not necessarily every day) and see where it takes us.

March 30, 2020

Most astrologers are writing off this day as a lost day due to a particularly long Moon v/c (“void of course”).  One reader who reblogs my work calls it “moon void off course.”  That is not consistent with what almost everyone calls it, paradoxically making it brilliantly consistent with the problems that Moon v/c typically brings.

Moon v/c: Always “Bad”?

I first started watching Moon v/c periods in 1987, and I spent quite a bit of effort learning about them from an experiential viewpoint.  Yes, they tend to bring problems.  But, guess what?  SOMEtimes they can be useful. (And, if you do not believe me, just ask Lee Lehman and Jim Shawvan.)

Changes in Tools; Changes in Insights

Recently (March 28/29, 2020), I had a bit of a back and forth with another astrologer, presumably a younger one by his style of analysis and writing.  He was arguing that prohibitions against reading an horary chart with an ascendant in the first three degrees or last three degrees no longer applies because of the accuracy with which we can construct charts using 21st century digital computers and astrology software.

He had interesting points.  Those of you more familiar with my work know where I stand based on an article that I wrote about eight to ten years ago (2010 to 2012): “Maybe it isn’t a point after all…. (aka Fractal Astrology)

The Three Degree Rule and the Anaretic Degree

While I still adhere to the three degree rule (and more, if you have read my recent pieces “March 18th through 19th of 2020: Sun in Pisces, Anaretic and Saturn in Capricorn, Anaretic” and “Grand Conjunction versus the Anaretic Sextile Prior to Vernal Equinox.”), I acknowledge that his point is worth exploring.  However, I go in a bit of a different direction.

Patterns, Higher Order Aspects, Asteroids, and Special Calculations

Specifically, I explore (1) patterns that were not as easily identified and explored before the advent of current generations of software and (2) higher order aspects that were not explored as much as traditional aspects, likely due to the same kinds of issues involving computing power.  Two additional explorations are worth mentioning: (1) asteroids (not visible to many prior to the twentieth century) and (2) specialty calculations (midpoints, Arabic parts, and similar).  (For example, consider this Marsout Calendar for the Month of March, 2020.)

For some of you, that is a LONG introduction.  But my point is worthwhile: despite the long void, this day can be useful And, I plan to show you precisely how by exploring the calendar features available in SolarFire 9.  (Other tools no doubt have similar features, this just happens to be the tool that I use for most, but not all, of my work.)

Sunout Pages

First let’s explore the Sunout pages.  .In particular, here are the Sunout aspects (Does not include lunar aspects and is limited regarding asteroids) first for the week (simply for your convenience if you decide to explore the aspects for later this week) and specifically for March 30, 2020:

Notice that we see (1) Mars enter Aquarius (at 1443 CDT) after (2) Mercury Septile Uranus (at 1232 CDT) but before Mars bidecile Chiron (at 2249 CDT).  All of this happens after Moon in Gemini moves v/c (at 1008 CDT) and before the Moon moves into Cancer (on March 31st).

What does it mean?

We have seen a day similar to this before, February 3, 2016.  Before you read any further, a useful exercise is to try to recall what you were doing in early February of 2016 and list any useful ideas or activities from that time.  If you have a personal calendar, check it.

Two Curious Articles

Most of that date is not particularly remarkable.  But, consider these two articles: (1) actually, a series of articles from “Hackaday,” and (2) an article from Forbes on “Why Washington Is Making It Easier For Rich Foreigners To Buy U.S. Real Estate.”

Summary of Aspects

We note that day (1) had a bidecile; (2) had significant Mars activity; and (3) had Chiron activity.  The Moon was NOT v/c and was in Sadge (“foreign relations” and “higher order thought”).  The two days are NOT identical, or particularly close, but may be close enough for our purposes here.

The Hackaday page covers a number of seemingly curious, maybe frivolous, topics that, potentially could prove quite important.  Why would “drone races” be important?  How about development for combat usage?  Why would undersea server farms be useful?  They tell us: current server farms are beginning to encounter serious cooling issues, and the cold temperatures of the floor of the ocean might solve that issue.

The Forbes article is cautionary.  It is a “heads up,” an alert to possible problems brewing.

NOW, I offer this: both of those things are true for Monday, March 30, 2020.  Mercury septile Uranus can give us brilliant breakthroughs, but the Moon v/c tells us that more research and tuning will be necessary.

Mars entering Aquarius (there are those “First Three Degrees” again!) tells us that we will be tempted to act, BUT SHOULD WAIT.  And Mars bidecile Chiron throws a red flag: the Moon v/c tells us to wait (more information is coming), and we should do that.

Mr. Shawvan does not indicate that this particular Moon v/c is an “Opportunity Period.”

We could stop there.  But, we will not.  We have more to say.

Moonout Pages

Moonout aspects almost always present so much detail that interpretation is difficult.  We will touch the surface of the topic.

And, it is here that we see the counter-argument of the other astrologer: the information available via improvements in computing power let us address issues we did not explore when we were effectively limited to the “Ptolemaic aspects” that define when the void begins.

Moonout Week

Here is the week for “Moonout” aspects.  They are so numerous that, undoubtedly, some days will not contain all of them.  (We leave that as an exercise for the ambitious.)

A Warning

We see only a single “Ptolemaic aspect” here: the Moon / Neptune square that begins the void.  Let us be clear: Moon square Neptune can be dangerousAvoid driving or operating heavy equipment at that time if you can.  Best to take a break and relax, daydream, during the half an hour or so where it dominates.

More Warnings

But, digging into the aspects, we learn much useful information.   Earlier, before the void, we had a pair of sesquiquadrates (Mars and Saturn!).  Again, we should be on guard if we are awake during these early morning hours.  For the UK and EU, if we did not have quarantines and similar restrictions, this would be rush hour.  Tempers could flare.  Stay away from dangerous people, places, and things.  The semi-square with Uranus (at 1151 CDT) repeats the message: avoid dangerous activities or being in situations that put you at risk.

However

However, if you avoid dangerous people, places, and things, today can be profoundly useful.  You will have flights of fancy.  Moon biquintile Jupiter (at 0813 CDT) tells us that.  Moon biquintile Pluto (at 0924 CDT) tells us that.  Moon quintile Chiron (at 0708 CDT) tells us that.  And, finally, Moon quintile Sun (at 1645 CDT) tells us that.  And, you might be tempted to ignore these ideas as “frivolous.”  Don’t!

The “Frivolous” Ideas That MIGHT Be Your Best Gifts Yet!

Those frivolous ideas, the ones like “drone races” and “undersea server farms,” WRITE THEM DOWN.  Let them slip past you, and you will lose a gift, maybe one of the more important gifts of your life.  Write it down.  Draw the pictures.  Tell a friend (and ignore the sesquiquadrate driven criticisms that they are certain to spew).  LOCK THOSE IDEAS IN!

Fleming and the Petri Dishes

The Moon v/c tells us that you might have to change or tune them later.  But, is that really a problem if they bring you a superb gift?  If Fleming had thrown out the petri dishes that had been contaminated by penicillin mold, we might not have developed antibiotics, or we might not have developed them for another century or two.  How many would have died?

In fact, they were nearly lost.

Open Your Eyes

Open your eyes, and you will see the opportunities.  Capture them.  Stay safe.  And, wait to act on your gifts until later.

Yes, the Moon is v/c today.  Yes, you need to be careful.

BUT, you can make this day count for something!

July 10, 2017 (Julian 191) Mars square Eris

July 10, 2017 (Julian 191) Mars square Eris

First, let us dispense with the more ordinary aspects of the day.  The Moon is past full and now waning.  Some still count it as full, but it is void of course in Capricorn (possibly the most useless void imaginable), but moves into Aquarius slightly past midnight CDT.  Frankly, we would declare the lunation as “over” by the time this sign change occurs.

What dominates?  Others have discussed the Sun opposite Pluto.  That will have perfected by the time you read this, but it does have an influence and can provide energy to accomplish useful work IF power struggles and spats and altercations and such (oh, my!) can be avoided.  Mercury sesquiquadrate Saturn COULD also be viewed as “annoying,” but we agree with others who interpret it as giving many of us the focus to pay attention to important details that might be overlooked.

We have become increasingly interested in higher order (fifth harmonic (quintiles) and seventh harmonic (septiles)) aspects and also interactions of outer planet (or “generational”) bodies.  This includes asteroids and distant objects such as Sedna.

Mars squares Eris today.  Similar to Sedna, Eris is a distant object, but it is typically associated with chaos, sometimes massive chaos.  With Mars square Eris today, and likely creating a T-Square with Pluto, we think today, and maybe this week, could be another dangerous one.  We urge you to be careful.

But, again, beyond the danger (if you can stay safe), chances are good that you might can accomplish things today beyond your ordinary abilities.  And if you do not accomplish, then you will make definitive discoveries as to exactly what the roadblocks are.

June 23, 2017 (Julian 174) New Moon in Cancer; Solstice “begins” in earnest

June 23, 2017 (Julian 174) New Moon in Cancer; Solstice “begins” in earnest

We have mentioned the key idea before, but we will state it again here.  “The New Moon is this evening, 9:30 PM CDT (and after dark in U.S. time zones except PDT, and early tomorrow morning for UK / EU).  Until then, you have a final window for cleanup or prep before the big shift comes.  And, it is coming.”

While the Summer Solstice was officially either June 20th or June 21st (depending upon your time zone), we have been in a needed “house cleaning” mode the past few days.

Sun, Moon, Mercury and Mars are all in Cancer, and Venus is in Taurus.  This combination tends to “activate” Earth and Water signs, though the Mercury / Mars pairing tend to bring harsh words and sometimes violence.  Avoid those, and you might have the energy to channel into “getting things done.”  Mars squares Jupiter on June 25th, two days from now, leading people to “blow things out of proportion.”  A week later, Mars in Cancer opposes Pluto in Capricorn.  This is notoriously dangerous.  And July 17th, Mars squares Uranus in Aries, also dangerous.  The entire period, from New Moon on the 23rd (now) until July 17th is a period that is either risky or in which you can “get things done,” sometimes both

Mars specifically perfects oppositions to Juno (the angry wife) and Astraea (among other things, divorce lawyers) today.  This more Mars activity in a period we have described as dangerous repeatedly, a number of times now.

Beyond that, we cannot add much beyond the various other forecasts that have been written.  You can see those on “New Moons Only.”

June 22, 2017 (Julian 173) Dark of the Moon

June 22, 2017 (Julian 173) Dark of the Moon

Beyond our other commentary, consider this: the Moon is in Gemini (ruled by Mercury) and Mercury is in Cancer (ruled by the Moon).  This kind of exchange is called a “mutual reception,” and, unless it contains malefics (particularly Mars or Saturn or both), this is a powerful and beneficial situation that permits both planets to speak for each other or “trade places.”  That means, for the moment, both the Moon and Mercury are very powerful.

With a Dark of the Moon period, as we have now, the “veil is thin” as others have said, and we can tap into our intuitive side or, depending on your beliefs, connect with those who have gone before us and sometimes other entities.  This is the kind of period where people can “daydream” and let the mind spin free and then write down what comes to them and produce a powerful result.  Think of it as a portal that opens today, especially after dark, but does not last long and ones like this do not occur often.

With a Moon this old, eliminating unwanted people, places, and things becomes possible.  Just make sure that is what you really want.  Chances are good that once you have eliminated “it” or “them,” you will not get a do-over.  Old traditionalists would also say this is a good time to wean children (or anyone else) or eliminate bad habits (which works best if you have something to replace it, like chewing Nicorette gum instead of smoking, and then later eliminating the gum habit when the time comes).

Particularly at this time, “cleaning house” will help you find lost objects (literal cleaning) or uncover hidden resources (metaphorical cleaning).

We have written about the outers before, and most important is the semi-square that Mars makes to the North Node (karma).  This can, and likely will, manifest as violence somewhere (given our current conditions, which are starting to look like an undeclared war), but if you avoid dangerous people, places, and things, you might can harness “it” to help you finish some messy job that you detest but need done to make life better.  We are talking about the bitter medicine that cures he condition.

Mars also makes a biseptile to Chiron, and this is about as “karmic” as one can imagine.  This is about karma in the most fundamental way, and it can give you an important glimpse of the future, especially since we are in DOTM.  Ceres quadrinovile Astraea amplifies this, maybe giving us some kind of glimpse into how to obtain justice for an old wrong.

You can count on some bit of weirdness, a bit like Halloween in June.  (We have Christmas in July, so why not?)
