2020-05-02 : A breakthrough day for athletes, artists, accountants, and anyone working with any kind of earth

Summary

Do not let this day slip away.  You will have insights about how to do things better and the energy to get things done.  Do them.  Make things happen.  (Days like this one are incredibly rare.)

Interpretations

Today is an interesting day, genuinely different from most other days.

Here is what leaps out: this is one of the most creative days to come along in a long time, but it is a rather specific kind of “creative.”  Whatever it is, it is related to earth.

Variations: sculptors can have a breakthrough day today, producing some of their best work.  But this is not simply sculpting of clay or marble.  Bodybuilders, and other athletes, can have breakthroughs as well.  But do not think in terms of simply a “really good workout.”  This is a day about having the kind of “Aha!” moment that produces entirely new methods of training.  Even a small change in the sequence of the workout might produce the breakthrough.  This can be martial arts, weight training, running, yoga, pilates, conventional sports or anything similar.

Bottom line: amazing day for certain athletes and artists.

Others can benefit.  Are you a gardner, maybe your profession?  The same for you.  Today is a day where you may find a new method, or multiple entire families of new methods.  Diamond cutters and other masters of stone can have the same kind of breakthrough.  Generally, this involves materials, ranging from smelting sand into glass to hammering marble to sculpting flesh through exercise. 

BUT, it does not have to be ENTIRELY “physical.”

Bean counters, specifically “forensic accountants” can have the same kinds of results.  The list is a long one.  But, if you have any earth in your natal chart whatsover, or any inclination along these lines, you’ll have an amazing day.

Summary

Days like this are difficult to write for.  That is not because the astrology does not speak.  It does speak.  Unfortunately, it tells us what we already know.  This will be an exercise, therefore, in what some call “confirmation bias.”  But, we can only read what we are given.

Unlike a diplomat or seasoned “sales executive,” we present the bad news first.  The bad news is this: Vesta forms a septile with Astraea.  We interpret that combination thus: traditions (Vesta) enter into a “karmic” relationship (that can produce insights from “lessons learned”) with Eris, the goddess of Discord (and retribution).  Tara Greene interprets Vesta to be related to “inVESTments.”  (“VENUS turns RETROGRADE conjunct VESTA the asteroid GODDESS of in VESTments, You can’t make this shit up, “)  JBuss describes the Septile as an aspect of “timing”:  “The Seventh Harmonic is about Stillness in Readiness for Action, very Aikido-like.  I simplify interpretation of the Septile as Timing.”

An alternative interpretation to mine, and NOT inconsistent with mine (i.e. both things could be true), is that Investments are meeting Discord in a manner related to timing.  Could this be the day that sets the stage for what comes next when certain businesses open for customers again, restaurants and cinemas and such.  The best that we can hope for is that most of the businesses are saved and we do NOT have a second wave.  But almost everyone observing, adults (and maybe teenagers) of sound mind & body, knows that SOMEthing will come out of this.  We just do not know what.

And given this “Vesta septile Eris” aspect perfecting today, it does not sound “encouraging.”

That’s the bad news, and nobody needs astrology to draw this conclusion.

One more time, the BEST that we can hope for is some sense of “normal.” 

(But the “mid-term grades” may not be so good.)

Now for the rest of the story:

• Sun septile North Node: another confirmation of this idea of “fate” being in play here; many of us will desperately try to control what cannot be controlled.
• Mercury biseptile Mars: the potential for violence continues though violent words are more likely than violent acts; as you watch events unfold, ask yourself this: how could this have been handled differently (actually, I think that the conduct of most people has been exemplary)
• Venus quincunx Neptune : the person I consider to have been my primary teacher in astrology (several of those, but I spent more time with one than all others combined) HATED the quincunx.  I recall him saying “it is worse than the squares.”  It is the aspect of false hopes and miscommunications.  Though Neptune is considered a “higher octave of Venus,” in this case they simply have nothing in common whatsoever.
• Venus biquintile Pluto: Financial markets, and their performance, will be a central issue at this time; an important insight can be had from today.
• Ceres trine North Node: supply chains appear to start moving again.

“Oddly, today is a “feel good” kind of day (Moon in Leo squares Sun in Taurus) where we feel a sense of relief that “things” are starting to move again.  But, at the same time, we are all quite apprehensive about the risks & dangers that face us.  If you are “at risk” at all, I exhort you to stay home and stay safe and practice the best practices you can with regard to protecting yourself (and your family) from this virus.

As we said in the beginning: no astrology needed to produce these predictions.

But, sometimes, that is what we are given from astrology: the obvious.

June 13, 2017 (Julian 164) Moon in Aquarius + A Storm Begins

Chances are good you have felt the Jupiter (station direct) and Neptune (station retrograde) weirdness for the past few weeks.  In traditional astrology, ALL of the matters ruled by Neptune (in modern astrology) are ruled by Jupiter.  So, no matter which system you follow, the message remains the same: “things” that are “ruled” by Jupiter / Neptune are, at a minimum, “shifting” now and for many they are simply a mess.

What are we talking about?  Quite a bit.  In modern astrology terms, (1) Jupiter is associated with higher education (typically colleges and universities), foreign travel and “foreigners,” law, courts, and legal matters, and sometimes extra-marital affairs (or other “infidelity”); (2) Neptune is associated with health and healthcare (particularly illness and hospitalization), poetry, lyrics, songs, photography, videography, alcohol & drug addiction, and sometimes criminality (usually petty crime) and deceit.

Mercury trines Jupiter (usually favorable) and forms, along with the Moon, a Grand Air Trine.  For writers, this should be a great aspect, but the issues mentioned (“slow” movement from our Earth bound perspective) might turn it all on the ear.  The same goes with anyone involved in communications or transportation or typical “air sign” activities.  Add Uranus in the mix and you have a “kite,” a pattern of special opportunity.

We think that clear cut “winners” and “losers” will emerge today.  We also think you will be able to tell which category you are in quickly.  “Things” will either go your way, fluidly, or you will encounter roadblocks, stop signs, and caution lights.  Keep your eyes open, and adjust accordingly.

Mercury also forms a square to Neptune, and this is notorious for problems for people who have addictions of any kind but especially alcohol or drugs.  If you are in recovery, you will need to be extra vigilant to avoid slippery “people, places, and things” and practice the HALT principle (do not get too hungry, angry, lonely, or tired).  If you attend support group meetings, this is a good time to avail yourself of those.

If you are NOT in recovery but maybe should be, this is a good week to take the plunge.

If you have mental health issues then you might need a “med adjustment” or some other help.  Do that this week.

This is an extraordinary day for anybody who is a poet or songwriter or interested in pursuit of those.  Take advantage of this special window if that applies to you.

Mars quintiles Eris, and that is bad for most people.  If you are the kind of person who creates chaos and maybe engages in violence, then the day might favor you.  For the rest of us, perfection of this aspect can favor those who we call “bad guys.”

Hygeia (health and healthcare) also perfects a sesquiquadrate (urgency) to Sedna (victims), yet another sign that today (or maybe this week) is dangerous.

Summary: avoid dangerous people, places, and things, do not abuse drugs or alcohol (or engage in other addictions), and consider spending some quiet time writing poetry or taking photographs.

Today is a mixed bag: some dangerous people might cause harm, and some brilliant and talented people will produce important gifts for the rest of us.

April 22, 2017 (Julian 112)

Mercury semi-squares Neptune giving creatives a peculiar sense of urgency.  At 3PM CDT Moon joins Neptune, amplifying the effect and bringing confusion to those not involved in a creative effort.  The rest of the lunar aspects are two semi-squares and a quincunx at 8 PM CDT.  Not all blind dates are disappointments, but the one tonight is likely to be so.  “Things” and people will be other than as expected.

This is not the best day to sign a contract.

The outers are not mute but are relatively quiet.  Mars / Uranus decile about 1:30 PM CDT brings accidents to some and mildly useful insights to others.  Jupiter biquintile White Moon Selena brings an insight or bright idea to a few.

Cafe’ Asrrology says, about this day, that “we may simply need a break from hard thinking and should do so if it can be managed.”  We agree.
