June 23, 2017 (Julian 174) New Moon in Cancer; Solstice “begins” in earnest

June 23, 2017 (Julian 174) New Moon in Cancer; Solstice “begins” in earnest

We have mentioned the key idea before, but we will state it again here.  “The New Moon is this evening, 9:30 PM CDT (and after dark in U.S. time zones except PDT, and early tomorrow morning for UK / EU).  Until then, you have a final window for cleanup or prep before the big shift comes.  And, it is coming.”

While the Summer Solstice was officially either June 20th or June 21st (depending upon your time zone), we have been in a needed “house cleaning” mode the past few days.

Sun, Moon, Mercury and Mars are all in Cancer, and Venus is in Taurus.  This combination tends to “activate” Earth and Water signs, though the Mercury / Mars pairing tend to bring harsh words and sometimes violence.  Avoid those, and you might have the energy to channel into “getting things done.”  Mars squares Jupiter on June 25th, two days from now, leading people to “blow things out of proportion.”  A week later, Mars in Cancer opposes Pluto in Capricorn.  This is notoriously dangerous.  And July 17th, Mars squares Uranus in Aries, also dangerous.  The entire period, from New Moon on the 23rd (now) until July 17th is a period that is either risky or in which you can “get things done,” sometimes both

Mars specifically perfects oppositions to Juno (the angry wife) and Astraea (among other things, divorce lawyers) today.  This more Mars activity in a period we have described as dangerous repeatedly, a number of times now.

Beyond that, we cannot add much beyond the various other forecasts that have been written.  You can see those on “New Moons Only.”

May 1, 2017 (Julian 121) Mars Quadrinovile Saturn + Long Lunar Void

May 1, 2017 (Julian 121) Mars Quadrinovile Saturn + Long Lunar Void

Today contains a possible glimpse into the future, but since Mars (the lesser malefic) and Saturn (the greater malefic) are involved, the news may not be pleasant and it may be overtly “bad.”  Do pay attention because I think (for some of you) your safety might be involved.

Today is relatively simple and straightforward.  At 3:21 PM CDT the Moon in Cancer squares Uranus in Aries and turns void of course and remains void until 11:11 PM CDT when the Moon enters Leo where it will be for the next two days.  Jim Shawvan in the Daily Planetary Guide describes this period of time as an “Opportunity Period.”

We think it COULD be an “Opportunity Period,” but the Saturn square Chiron aspect is of concern to some people.  (Refer to yesterday’s post).  AND, we are only two days away from the Mercury Direct Station.  If you do decide to use the void period for “opportunities,” we recommend a very conservative position in your decision making.

April 30, 2017 (Julian 120) Saturn Square Chiron

April 30, 2017 (Julian 120) Saturn Square Chiron

The big news today is that Saturn (Sagittarius) squares Chiron (Pisces).  The major pain that results for many people from this aspect may have been felt yesterday.  The fastest moving planet in this combination is Saturn with a 29.5 year orbit; Chiron has a somewhat irregular 50 year orbit.

That means that a year for Saturn is like a day for the Moon.  We usually think of lunar aspects lasting about +/- two hours, about 1/6 of a day.  For Saturn, this would be equivalent to +/- a month.  Combined with what some have called the “Retrograde Spring” of 2017, “things” can be tough for late mutables (for example, people with Sun in Gemini / Virgo / Sagittarius / Pisces in the last week of the sign).

Also suffering significantly (or, if you do not like that language, “experiencing a transformation”) are those who are having a Saturn return (typically 28 to 30 years of age, 57 to 59 years of age, or near 90 years of age) and those having a Chiron return (about 49 to 51 years of age or about 100 years of age) or demi-return (25 or 75 years of age).  The people who are having the Chiron return (or demi) are likely hit the hardest of all, especially if they have any late mutable planets.

I would like to say “the worst is over now,” but I cannot.  Tuesday looks especially bad, worse than yesterday or today.  Tuesday the Sun (Taurus) forms (1) a sesquiquadrate with Saturn about 6:30 AM CDT and (2) a semisquare with Chiron about 10 AM CDT.

But, (Monday and) Tuesday get worse: Tuesday evening (between 8 PM CDT and 9 PM CDT) the Moon (void in Leo) forms a sesquiquadrate with both Saturn (Sagittarius) and Chiron (Pisces).  Long time readers of my work know what this is: a “Thor’s Hammer” (or “Fist of God”), the pattern associated with Adam Lanza (who killed so many at Sandy Hook Elementary).  I think that Monday and Tuesday are extremely dangerous days.  Please do note that Mercury stations direct on Wednesday, exacerbating any “situations” that might arise.  (You might want to stay awake from people, places, and things that are “not entirely stable.”)

Back to Sunday (April 30th): Lunar aspects are “unremarkable,” consisting of a sextile, trine, and a square (to Jupiter).  These Jupiter squares are notorious for overeating, overspending, or over-indulging in some other way.  Practice moderation, if you can, this Sunday.

Outers have the aforementioned Saturn / Chiron square and two more: (1) Jupiter (Libra) sesquiquadrate Ceres (Gemini) bringing about intense conversations about food or “prosperity” or both; (2) Pluto (Capricorn) quadrinovile Ceres.  This latter is trickier to interpret, but it is likely to be a bit unpleasant (Pluto in Capricorn) but bring insights regarding issues of food or prosperity or both.

No question about it, these next few days leave me VERY nervous!

On the outside chance something happens to ME, let me say this: it has been an HONOR to have the opportunity to write a few forecasts for you.  (But, let us hope that my fears are unwarranted.)

April 29, 2017 (Julian 119)

April 29, 2017 (Julian 119)

Today is a bit of an odd-ball day and somewhat challenging to read.   Moon is active in Gemini and mostly pleasant but then goes void about 4:30 PM CDT when it squares Chiron and opposes Saturn. The void lasts until about 9 PM CDT when it moves into its home sign of Cancer and squares Venus.  From the perspective of lunar transits, Saturday is pleasant until about 4 PM CDT or so when “things” turn a bit ugly.

Outers are quite active but tricky to read.  Ceres enters Gemini and squares the Nodes.  It is in pursuit of Mars but unlikely to catch it (Mars is a bit faster).  Issues of prosperity in general and particularly food and diet move to the forefront today.  Younger females panic about “bikini season” and others of us focus on other issues involving food or prosperity.

Black Moon Lilith (AND the “white moon”) aspect Eris (Chaos), and we are not certain what to make out of that EXCEPT this might be a “party Saturday” for younger people so inclined.  The rest of us might be wise to stay off the highways, particularly after 4 PM CDT.  Pallas forms a semi-square with Sedna; what does THAT mean?  The warrior goddess forms (Greek) forms an alliance with the Goddess of Victims (Inuit)?  Fee free to produce your own combination of that duo, keeping in mind the Eris interpretations and Ceres interpretations previously mentioned.

As we said earlier, it is a bit of an oddball day.
