May 30, 2017 (Julian 150) A Decision Awaits You

May 30, 2017 (Julian 150) A Decision Awaits You

Outers are very busy today, but we will come back to that.  Moon is in Leo and effectively completes a Grand Fire Trine with Uranus / Venus in Aries and Saturn in Sagittarius.  This tends to be good for fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) and usually good for air signs (Libra, Aquarius, Gemini).  Water and Earth can benefit, also, but not as much.

Moon in Leo forms a loose Yod with Neptune in Pisces and Pluto in Capricorn.  This is a monthly recurring event for the next few years.  Each month, when the Moon is in Leo, you face some kind of important decision.  Today is no exception.  For most people this is not life and death, but it can be important.  Choose wisely.

Outers continue to be a bit disturbing.  In particular, Mars forms three aspects today, a relatively benign sextile to Uranus, a quadrinovile to Astraea (law and lawyers), and an aspect we will call a “hexaundecile” to Hygeia.  This last aspect is particularly difficult to interpret.  Just know that some of you will encounter something unusual or different regarding the healthcare system today.

Mars opposite Saturn, which perfected on May 29th, continues to dominate affairs all week long.  Let us be clear: this is difficult.  Gemini and Sagittarius will be, at least, stirred to action.  Chances are good, though, that the changes will not be lasting ones.  This has a bit of an odd feel similar to a Moon v/c.

The next big Outer Planet shift will be Jupiter moving direct on June 9th.  As Jupiter slows, some of us will have a chance to “jump ship.”  That means leaving college, starting college, closing out a lawsuit, starting a lawsuit, traveling abroad or coming home if you are already traveling abroad.  You are not required to do this, but you will have the opportunity.

May 26, 2017 (Julian 146) Gemini Moon + Outer Planet Quintiles

May 26, 2017 (Julian 146) Gemini Moon + Outer Planet Quintiles

More than a few astrological prognosticators thought that the New Moon in Gemini was a great time for idea generation and communications.  While that is technically true, today is better.

First, let us take a look at the Moon today.  It has a mix of aspects starting the day with a semi-square to Uranus and a trine to Jupiter.  That is a great combination to “get things done.”  A neptune square by a bit past 5 AM CDT can contribute either confusion or insights on what to do next.  About 3 PM the Moon sextiles Venus, generally favorable, and by a bit past 9 PM the Moon joins Mars (avoid Friday night fights, please).

But the kicker today are the multiple 5th harmonic aspects with outer planet bodies.  Ceres forms a biquintile with Astraea, benefiting those involved with issues of law and prosperity.  Neptune biquintiles Vesta, adding a kind of poetry to any traditions at this time, notably those associated with Memorial Day.  Vesta, in turn, forms a quintile with Sedna, reminding us to honor those who have fallen, and smart ideas about better ways to do that come to us.  Finally, Mars quadrinoviles Hygeia, giving some of us the energy and motivation to improve our health, possibly through exercise.

While any day CAN be a bad day, we think that this day will be mostly benevolent and helpful to most people.  Keep a notepad hand, and capture those novel ideas.

May 1, 2017 (Julian 121) Mars Quadrinovile Saturn + Long Lunar Void

May 1, 2017 (Julian 121) Mars Quadrinovile Saturn + Long Lunar Void

Today contains a possible glimpse into the future, but since Mars (the lesser malefic) and Saturn (the greater malefic) are involved, the news may not be pleasant and it may be overtly “bad.”  Do pay attention because I think (for some of you) your safety might be involved.

Today is relatively simple and straightforward.  At 3:21 PM CDT the Moon in Cancer squares Uranus in Aries and turns void of course and remains void until 11:11 PM CDT when the Moon enters Leo where it will be for the next two days.  Jim Shawvan in the Daily Planetary Guide describes this period of time as an “Opportunity Period.”

We think it COULD be an “Opportunity Period,” but the Saturn square Chiron aspect is of concern to some people.  (Refer to yesterday’s post).  AND, we are only two days away from the Mercury Direct Station.  If you do decide to use the void period for “opportunities,” we recommend a very conservative position in your decision making.
